IT Lead Software Developer


Develop software solutions according to specification.

Work independently or as a member of a group to ensure provided software solutions meet business needs

Work with CTO to improve standards of development


Minimum Qualifications

·        BA/BS in Computer Science or similar technical degree

·        3-5 years’ experience developing software

·        Ability to work with a team to meet business needs


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·        Thorough knowledge of software development through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle

·        Demonstrated development skill in the Microsoft stack

·        Basic skill with SQL

·        Prefer some ability with PHP and JavaScript

·        Prefer some experience with databases (SQL Server, MySQL, or Postgres)

·        Ability to work independently or as a member of a group

·        Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software programs

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

·        Ability to follow differing development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum) based on project need

·        Experience working with Redmine or similar bug tracking software


Supervisory Responsibilities

·        Mentoring development team members and interns

·        Code reviews


Essential Functions

•       Work with business owners to develop requirements for statements of work, design, and project resource estimates

•       Lead teams of in-office and near-shore developers

•       Cross departmental team communications

•       Develop solutions according to agreed statements of work and project plans

•       Fix bugs in existing software working with QA team

•       Maintain and enforce software development standards and version control

•       Maintain and enforce current security protocols


Physical Demands

Hearing, color vision, talking, sitting for extended time periods.*  Use of computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor.


Work Environment

Air conditioned office, cubicle space.*
