IT Network & Systems Administrator

Summary

The IT Network and Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the systems and platforms that host Classical Conversations’ automated business systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 2 – 5 plus years of IT System Administration experience
  • Off-hours on-call availability is required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Web Services, Virtual Servers, Firewall, and network protocols
  • Working knowledge of Windows desktop systems
  • Experience with Linux, Apache, Web CMS, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and SSH server configuration
  • Basic knowledge of VOIP phone systems

Qualification Requirements

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation and testing/debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills required
  • All MS Office products (particularly Outlook, Word and Excel), all version of Windows for Desktops, & Other email clients, Windows Server 2012-2016, FTP & other file-transfer services, Web services, Print servers, AD & MS covenant administration, PowerShell experience also preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with multiple end dates simultaneously
  • Capable of explaining simple procedures verbally or in written form
  • Experience with VoIP technologies
  • Experience working with NAS, as well as backup and disaster recovery plans
  • Experience with Aruba Wireless Systems
  • Deploy, test and evaluate third party applications/updates as needed
  • General knowledge of computer equipment such as PCs, servers, and printers; information technology principles and procedures, including record keeping, maintenance and operation; modern office procedure
  • Ability to work on a rotational on-call, off-hours support schedule
  • Excellent customer support skills
  • Ability to accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective and professional
  • Relay relevant IT-related information to the company in a timely manner

Essential Functions

  • Provide onsite and remote technical support
  • Track and report Help Desk ticket metrics in Redmine
  • Solve problems quickly and automate processes
  • Partner with outside vendors, consultants, and other IT staff to assist with IT system and network needs
  • Maintain an inventory system of all company equipment and software; keep inventory updates with necessary patches
  • Maintain policies, procedures, and documentation for all related systems

This is an onsite position located in Southern Pines, NC.
