Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer helps to create and maintain the look and feel of Classical Conversations’ curriculum materials, with the mission and vision of the company.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in the graphic design industry
  • Highly creative; skilled in graphic design and layout
  • Trained in print production processes (preparing files for press, communicating with prepress)
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite, Photoshop, and InDesign; experienced in Office Suite, and Outlook
  • Must be within driving distance of West End, NC

Essential Duties

  • Design graphic layout for new curriculum and other duties as assigned
  • For new project requests, gather information and reviews goals, purpose, and audience
  • Create sample layouts of art and copy and obtains approval from key players
  • Prepare finished copy and art for delivery in appropriate medium (electronic, print)
  • Coordinate with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc. as needed to review and correct design proofs
  • Meet weekly with other key players on project updates

Physical Demands

  • Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time, up to eight hours per day, with breaks
  • Communicating over the internet and via phone
